I AM

An innovative dietitian (nutritionist) based in the Blue Mountains,

partnering with you, your business or your team (face to face or online) to equip you with the tools,

education and a plan to make clear, confident decisions about your health.

MY NON-NEGOTIABLES

My professional practice is guided by a set of core values that directs everything I do.

01.

I do it because I love it.

Authenticity: I prioritise people and I don’t hide behind jargon or fad diets. I am real, honest and am constantly evolving in my own personal pursuit of health, happiness and performance. No intimidating science speak here, I lead by example and practise what I preach.

02.

I take a team approach.

Collaboration: I have been doing this for over 10 years, so I know you don’t have to go it alone. I am invested in your success and partner with you to clarify where you’re at and where you want to go.

03.

I am your wingman.

Empowerment: I equip you with the tools and education to make clear, confident decisions about your health. With so much misinformation and contradictory messages out there, I ensure you can separate the facts from the phoneys. Your health journey doesn’t stop when you walk out our door. I provide a solid foundation of education, coaching and individualised strategies that are sustainable no matter what life throws at you.

04.

I don’t do mediocre.

Innovation: I am a life-long learner. I am dedicated to constantly improving and evolving my professional practice, so it can better support your needs and goals. I am not afraid to shake up the status quo. Stale strategies won’t yield exceptional results, so I’m committed to becoming an industry leader.

OUR TEAM OF ONE

AMANDA WATTS – Thrive Nutrition & Dietetics Founder, Accredited Practising Dietitian, Accredited Nutritionist and SDA Sports Dietitian.

Amanda founded Thrive Nutrition & Dietetics because she is passionate about connecting people to what matters  – their health, their food and each other. As Australia’s leading climbing dietitian, she prides herself on an innovative and evidence-based approach to nutrition, health and performance. Working with private practice patients and clients  across a diverse range of life-stages and experiences and consulting across the sporting, disability and aged care sectors, Amanda knows that long-lasting behavioural change is essential to health and happiness. She is  passionate about people feeling and performing the best they can and takes an in-depth, evidence based approach to nutrition, health and performance. Amanda founded Thrive N&D to help people and athletes of all levels achieve their sporting dreams and health goals and to help non athletes evolve into a healthier and happier version of themselves.

Amanda’s personal interest in health and nutrition has evolved from her experience as an elite athlete, with a passion for sport at all levels. From junior gymnastics, state level Little Athletics and A-Grade Netball, she found rock climbing and never looked back. Amanda’s passion saw her move to the Blue Mountains in 1999 to live and climb in one of Australia’s greatest rock-climbing locations.

When she’s not working as a dietitian, Amanda can be found climbing in the Blue Mountains, training or travelling the world to climb in new places. Over her 23 year climbing career, she has represented Australia in World Cup sport climbing, consistently been on the podium at bouldering nationals and has performed at an elite level across sport and trad climbing. Amanda is also a proud ambassador for Black Diamond, Seat to Summit and Tenaya, and a regular columnist for Australia’s climbing magazine, Vertical Life.

Having spent her life in the pursuit of peak physical and mental performance, Amanda is on a mission to empower people to achieve their health, dietary and athletic goals.
